E.ON in Sweden is part of the international energy group E.ON SE, headquartered in Essen, Germany. The group employs around 70,000 people in 17 countries. In Sweden, around 2,100 dedicated employees work. Our Nordic headquarters is located in Malmö. In Sweden, we deliver electricity, heating, and smart energy solutions to over a million households and businesses. E.ON's role is to take responsibility and drive development forward so that more can transition. With our investments and our customers' willingness to contribute, we work to continue electrifying society and meet future energy needs.
Welcome to us at E.ON - and become part of the energy transition. In collaboration with our customers and partners, we ensure that electricity and heat are produced, used, and recycled smarter. If you have passion and believe in the power of working together, E.ON is the place for you.
About us
We are in the midst of one of the greatest societal transitions of our time, where the electricity grid plays a crucial role in enabling a sustainable future. Within Regional Network Business, we have a national responsibility for our substations and power lines in the regional network. These form the heart of the transition and must therefore operate safely, reliably, and cost-effectively for many decades to come.
We are now looking for someone who wants to be part of this journey and help shape the future regional network.
Your role
As a substation designer, you will be an important part of our work to enable new connections and strengthen critical infrastructure. You will primarily work on the design of new and rebuilt substations within the regional network by producing high-quality procurement documentation with technically and economically optimized solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Prepare documentation and materials for investigations, feasibility studies, and designs
- Drive and deliver in the early phases of projects together with an engaged team
- Ensure that the design meets technical requirements, standards, and internal guidelines
- Be responsible for project economics and scheduling until project handover
- Prepare and hand over completed documentation to the Project Operations and participate in procurement
- Participate in technical meetings and contribute with substation expertise in dialogue with internal and external stakeholders
Your experience
We welcome you who have a higher education in electrical engineering or equivalent competence acquired in other ways. You have experience in electrical operations and are familiar with the design of substations within the regional network.
We believe you will thrive if you:
- Have a meticulous working style and value quality
- Enjoy collaborating and building good relationships
- Can communicate clearly and listen
- Like to keep the big picture together but are also comfortable with details
- Have an interest in business and see opportunities in complex projects
The most important thing is that you want to contribute and grow with us.
What is it like with us?
With us, you will meet a warm, supportive, and competent team where we learn from each other and help each other. The group is characterized by commitment, lack of prestige, and a desire to always perform well - together.
Your manager Amiteshver Matharu builds his leadership on clarity, trust, and development to create structure and direction while giving the team the responsibility to grow, take ownership, and deliver sustainable results.
We offer a culture where you have the space to be yourself, where ideas are valued, and where we celebrate our successes together. Here you will find both stability and innovation - and a strong sense that our work truly matters.
At E.ON, we actively work with inclusion - it is crucial to drive the energy transition forward. We want you to feel welcome! We strive to create a safe working environment with meaningful tasks and good opportunities for development. We continuously challenge ourselves to create a welcoming workplace, where we hope you will thrive.
We work for a more sustainable energy society, but it is equally important that our employees have the conditions to care for their personal sustainability. Therefore, we offer good benefits to ensure you feel well and have a good balance between work and leisure. Some of these include a shorter working time that is higher than the industry standard, health insurance, free healthcare, and more!
The position is security-classified, which means that a security review will be conducted before employment.
The application deadline is March 10.
